1.
There, time claims him, time and the heavenly city The streets swell in sympathy, their ebbs and their flows Everything at once and nowhere We've all the time in the world Cars drone back and forth, back and forth past the cricket chirps of drunk street lights Tram tracks trace a lazy eight, a midnight motion lemniscate Yellow stone, black by night, this place's design Hewn along bedding planes to a stonework spine Our steps echo off the pavement as the clock tower ticks hand in hand Now we were seated, standing still Both together and apart
2.
The Wand 07:12
Realise reality, the actual hand The wand, an instrument of will The human body a picture of a crucified soul, a cup to hold Waxing and waning, twisted paths made straight No winding road Fingers clasping, pregnant with meaning and dry, dry to the bone Don't sweat it, it's just a dream There's no dream without sweat

about

“Extended Play 1” sees The Limp explore the songwriting and sound selection possibilities afforded by their own studio, Tye Die Tapes. Thematically the EP follows the band’s joint discovery of Alan Moore’s Promethea, a journey through mysticism and the intersection of place, the real and the imaginary.

The two tracks feature a wide range of instrumentation, combining guitars, drums and bass with synthetic instruments sometimes sampled and resampled beyond recognition. Extended Play 1 has been expertly mastered by James Plotkin who has been a mainstay for labels such as Ipecac, Relapse Records, Mexican Summer and Kranky.
